Curry for Change Vegetarian feast!

Mallika Basu - Curry for Change Vegetarian feast!

Posted 8th September 2015

There is a special kind of joy in feeding people delicious food and the praise heaped afterwards. But there is even more joy in knowing the effort and the event contributed towards a bigger cause. And this, my friends, is why I jumped at the chance to be an Ambassador for the charity Find Your Feet’s Curry for Change campaign.

To encourage lots of lovely people to cook for their friends and thereby fundraise, I created a special vegetarian dinner party menu for them, which includes:

  • Hara Bhara Kebab: Little spinach, pea and potato croquettes
  • Vegetable Biryani: Highly fragrant spiced rice from the Mughal days (pictured)
  • Aubergine raita: Fried aubergines drizzled with yoghurt and earthy spices
  • Cheat’s Paneer Makhani: Under 30 minutes and 1 spoon of tandoori masala
  • Gajar ka halwa: Stewed carrots with cardamom

Does it entice you much? The full recipe menu, with my tips and tricks is here to download. Thank you for your support!

  1. Oh man! This looks beyond delicious. I am going to make this as soon as possible. Well done! I can’t wait to try this either. My most favorite hobby is trying out new recipes. Since I’m engaged in my work at I don’t get much time now a days to tryout everything posted here but I had tried most of them and almost all came out really tasty at my first try itself.
