There is a special kind of joy in feeding people delicious food and the praise heaped afterwards. But there is even more joy in knowing the effort and the event contributed towards a bigger cause. And this, my friends, is why I jumped at the chance to be an Ambassador for the charity Find Your Feet’s Curry for Change campaign.

To encourage lots of lovely people to cook for their friends and thereby fundraise, I created a special vegetarian dinner party menu for them, which includes:

  • Hara Bhara Kebab: Little spinach, pea and potato croquettes
  • Vegetable Biryani: Highly fragrant spiced rice from the Mughal days (pictured)
  • Aubergine raita: Fried aubergines drizzled with yoghurt and earthy spices
  • Cheat’s Paneer Makhani: Under 30 minutes and 1 spoon of tandoori masala
  • Gajar ka halwa: Stewed carrots with cardamom
